CSS can help you develop a customized plan for reducing your stress and help open the conversation about your unique needs and wants. Upon completion, you are provided with a Personal Support Care Plan comprised of tailored information about your distress level and available support resources.

Open to Options® can help you prepare for an appointment in which you will be making a treatment decision. In a brief one-hour session, a specialist can help you develop a personal list of questions and concerns that will help you and your doctor explore your situation and develop the best treatment option for you.

Cancer Experience Registry

The Registry is a place to go to make sense of your cancer experience. By joining, you will help us gain insights about social and emotional needs of the cancer journey. Let us help you connect with others, advocate as members of a community, learn from each other and share your unique story.

Gilda’s Club Kansas City is here to meet participants where they are in their cancer journey. We understand that not everyone is able to attend programs due to illness, scheduling conflicts, or personal circumstance, but they still need our services. It is for this reason that some of our free virtual and hybrid classes have been recorded and posted on our YouTube channel! This includes Healthy Lifestyle, Exercise and Relaxation, as well as Educational Classes. We also recently added a series of recorded classes with our Occupational Therapy Student, Katie Henderson. We are so excited to get started in Gnosis with you.     Our five-part model was created to help anyone create a program custom program that works for them. At Gilda’s Club, you are welcome to participate in as many or few aspects of our resources as you’d like.

  • As a community of people who are learning how to live with cancer, and as professionals who are communicating about, facilitating and administering the Gilda’s Club Kansas City Program, we pay great attention to the language we use that supports our philosophy, and we avoid language that would reinforce popular misconceptions about cancer.
