Anita Slusher is one of our Program Specialists at Gilda’s Club Kansas City, implementing the educational, healthy lifestyle, support and resource referral programming. Anita is trained in the Patient Active Model of therapy and is an Open to Options Specialist. 

Prior to Gilda’s Club, Anita had a private therapy practice, working in the Kansas City area since 2002. 

Anita’s Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance is from UMKC. As a lover of the outdoors, Anita did her undergraduate studies at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado.

Anita loves spending time with her husband, her dog and cats, spending time with family and friends, or engaging in her meditation practice.
