Amanda Trout, LCSW, LSCSW, OSW-C is joining Gilda’s Club Kansas City as our new Program Director. She comes to us from Children’s Mercy, where she spent 11 years working as a Clinical Social Worker and Adolescent & Young Adult Program Coordinator in the Division of Hematology/Oncology/BMT. She has over 20 years’ experience as a licensed social worker in various settings throughout the Kansas City community.

She also brings with her experience as a parent advocate, serving as Communications Secretary for the KCPS District Advisory Committee and on the Foreign Language Academy Parent Teacher Organization executive board. She lives in the Waldo neighborhood with her husband Micah, 9 y/o son Milo, and cat Bella. Amanda is excited to bring to Gilda’s Club her experience, energy, and passion for psychosocial oncology and program development.
